Contribution Terms
Version 1: Prepared on October 27, 2026
1. Scope and ownership
These terms cover community guide text and images submitted to TechFix Repair Assistant. You retain your copyright. Submit only material you created or have permission to use under these terms. Credit external sources and do not copy material without permission.
2. Permission for this application
By explicitly accepting this version and submitting a guide, you grant the operator a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, technically format, editorially adapt and display your submitted contribution for the operation of TechFix Repair Assistant, including access by its subscribers and human-reviewed editorial processing. This licence does not transfer ownership or permit sale in other products or use in YouTube videos without a separate agreement. For contributions that remain published, the licence continues after subscription expiry or account deletion, subject to the withdrawal process in section 7. Retaining records for legal obligations or claims does not permit continued publication after withdrawal.
3. Review and publication
Submission creates a fixed review snapshot; it does not publish the guide. Editors may request changes, reject, correct, approve, publish or withdraw a guide. An administrator makes the final publication decision. Submission does not guarantee publication or continued availability. Describe only checks you actually performed, identify relevant versions and sources, and disclose limitations. Do not present a guide as a diagnosis of a reader's device.
4. AI-assisted editorial checks
If separately enabled by the operator, AI may assist with checking completeness, wording, consistency and potential risks in submitted content. AI output is advisory; it does not establish technical correctness or replace human approval. This permission is limited to editorial processing for this application and does not grant a separate right to train general-purpose models on your content. AI review is not promised for every submission.
5. Privacy and images
Remove personal information, passwords, recovery codes, keys and other confidential information before uploading. Check the final prepared image after redaction. Do not include another person's private data. Unpublished drafts and review materials are restricted to the author and authorised staff; publication makes the approved content available to its intended audience. Account data is covered by the privacy information.
6. Subscription, rewards and other programmes
An active subscription is required to create and submit community contributions under the application's access rules. Ending a subscription does not by itself remove an already published contribution. Accepting an article does not create a payment claim. Any author benefits or video work depend on separately effective rules and explicit decisions or agreements; no programme, invitation or reward is enabled by this consent.
7. Account deletion, attribution and withdrawal
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or remove published contributions. Deleting your account removes your public profile, but your already published guides remain available by default. They will no longer link to your profile and will be attributed as “Former community member”, as disclosed when you accept these terms. This does not transfer authorship to the operator or waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
Before confirming account deletion, you may select “Also withdraw all my published guides”. This option is not preselected. You will see the affected guides and must confirm your choice through a secure verification process. You may also request withdrawal separately, including after account deletion, by contacting support and providing sufficient information to verify your request. Do not send passwords or authentication secrets to support.
Withdrawn guides and their associated reader access are removed from publication. Withdrawal does not recall copies already obtained by readers. Unpublished drafts and submissions are not automatically published after account deletion. Personal data within retained material are assessed separately; retaining a guide does not authorise indefinite retention of all account data.
Account deletion and withdrawal are processed in accordance with the retention information. Restricted backups and the minimum records needed to establish permission, meet applicable obligations or address specific legal claims may remain for their stated periods. Acknowledgement of your request is not confirmation that every retained copy has already been erased. Your statutory data-protection rights remain unaffected.
8. Version and evidence of consent
The application records the accepted version and confirmation time against the submitted guide revision. Reading this page does not give consent. Consent requires your explicit checkbox selection and submission. Material changes require a new terms version and a new explicit acceptance for future submissions; they must not silently rewrite the terms attached to previous submissions.
9. Operator and questions
TechFix Guides is the brand under which this service is presented. The service is operated by the sole trader identified on the , which provides the operator's legal name, business identification number, registered business address and support contact. The Privacy information explains who is responsible for processing personal data. Please contact support if you have questions about these terms or wish to request withdrawal of a contribution.
